In this trial, Lana requests that the player drive the Wishiwashi in Brooklet Hill'south pools downstream in order to draw out the Totem Pokémon. The get-go lake is not part of the trial site. In both lakes within the trial site, each contains two water splashes, one containing a Dewpider and the other containing a Wishiwashi; to progress the trial, the actor just needs to defeat the Wishiwashi (the Dewpider'due south water splashes disappear one time the histrion completes the trial if they have not been defeated). Lana will not allow the thespian to proceed further south until they accept defeated the Wishiwashi. Once the player sends both Wishiwashi downstream, information technology will commencement raining in all of Brooklet Loma, causing information technology to pelting in all battles conducted at that place until the trial is complete.
Unlike other non-Totem SOS Battles, the initially encountered trial Pokémon in the third lake will successfully call for aid every turn as long as information technology does not already have an ally, even if information technology has a status status; the Pokémon called as allies will not themselves call for help. The Pokémon encountered in the 2nd lake practice not telephone call for aid.
When the player enters the Totem's Den, they will see a small-scale h2o splash in the heart of the den, which Lana tells them is the Totem Pokémon. When initiating the battle with the Totem Pokémon, the overworld pelting gets stronger throughout the whole area (although the regular pelting condition notwithstanding occurs in battle), remaining in effect until the role player defeats the Totem Pokémon even if the actor loses to it. In the boxing with Totem Araquanid, it will phone call Dewpider on its first plough, and call Masquerain if its HP is below half (if the ally Dewpider has been defeated). If its HP drops below approximately 2/iii before it has a chance to phone call an ally, it will phone call Masquerain first, and then call Dewpider at the first opportunity after Masquerain has fainted.
