One For All is arguably the strongest quirk in the My Hero Academia universe, growing in potency with each user. However, with great power comes great responsibility, and All Might's power has peculiarities that other abilities do not possess.

10 An Iconic Duo

This meme emphasizes the many times Izuku Midoriya has visited the hospital, notably prodigious at the beginning of the series. At first, Deku had to use his quirk strategically, since it guaranteed a trip to Recovery Girl.

Initially, Eraserhead did not realize the potential Deku was dealing with, claiming he was merely being careless and that if he did not master it soon, he would be expelled. Through the providence of hard work, a good mentor, and a little help from technology, Deku was able to overcome this inhibition, eventually taking on much more deadly foes.

9 Eat WHAT?

The way All Might decided to pass One For All to Midoriya was strange and veritably sketchy, considering the former's celebratory status and the latter's age. After promising Deku his power if he trained hard, All Might would deliver on his word by having Deku eat a strand of his hair.

This meme captures the irregularity of the request, perfectly juxtaposing the expressions between Toshinori and his student through intelligently placed screenshots. It's understandable why Deku might be vexed ~ All Might had only told him how he'd be inheriting One For All after his backbreaking training.

8 Breaking News

In a mock "news" report, Izuku Midoriya fervently gestures at his legs under the ecstatic caption that he had discovered more bones to break. Aside from the amusing setup to an absurdly elated hero, this incidentally makes a point about the anime.

Specifically, it emphasizes Deku's confounding dependence exclusively on his arms for much of its earlier seasons. He went to such desperate measures not to use his legs that he almost ripped a hole in his own mouth in his fight against Shoto, as he was running out of bones to spend. The "revelation" would greatly assist Midoriya against Gentle Criminal during his attempted infiltration of the School Festival. Fortunately, he wouldn't break any bones in this encounter ~ after all, he would need them to dance in the performance and cheer up Eri.

Recovery Girl is U.A High's school nurse, possessing an incredible ability to accelerate her target's healing by the place she kisses. The limitation behind this is that it exhausts their body, and she can only mend wounds that they themselves are capable of healing in the fullness of time.

This meme encapsulates how Midoriya ~ and All Might ~ both ignored her requests to take things easy, continuing to recklessly use One For All and destroying their bodies in the process. 2 Who Needs Restraint?

Izuku's cheerful and irate dispositions reflect his (futile) promises to his friends and family not to push himself to life-altering injury. However, the way the meme is phrased refers to a specific incident; namely, his first and most irresponsible usage of One For All to save Uraraka.

Deku would dive into the air, ramming his fist into the training drone that would have otherwise crushed her. Conveniently, Ochacho's quirk would prevent him from plummeting to his death.

1 Hear No Caution, See No Caution

One of All Might's most important tips to Midoriya was not to use One For All at a hundred percent. Even a fraction of that power would test his body to its limits, only able to manage twenty percent safely by the end of season four.

Naturally, Izuku would ignore this restriction entirely against Muscular, tapping into his quirk at "one million percent" ~ which, in addition to being technically impossible, should have made him explode into a pool of powdery blood. Luckily, Midoriya's plot armor was his salvation, bearing ultimately inconsequential injuries for the power he wielded.
